Anusha Lekshminarayanan, MBBS

Dr. Anusha Lekshminarayanan is a physiatrist who specializes in Sports Medicine. She completed her PM&R residency at New York Medical College and Metropolitan Hospital Center, New York, NY where she served as the Senior Chief resident, and Sports Medicine Fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, NY. At the WMC PM&R residency program, she serves as the Associate Program Director, leading the residents' didactics curriculum, Ultrasound education and Spring Anatomy lab sessions. She serves on the Editorial Board of American Journal of PM&R since 2023. She has also served as a reviewer for the British Journal of Sports Medicine. She serves as an abstract reviewer for the annual Physiatry, AMSSM and AAPM&R conferences. Since 2021, she has been an integral part of the NYSPMR’s Question Bank initiative. She is the recipient of multiple awards during her training years including Award for Excellence in Academics, 2022, Catherine Hinterbuchner Award, 2022, Joji Sakuma, MD, Memorial Award, 2020, 2021. She has been nominated as a WMC Care Champion as well.
