Biography

Alexandra (“Alex”) Archer is a highly experienced Physician Associate with over 25 years in healthcare, dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. She specializes in breast surgery, where she supports patients with both benign and cancer-related conditions.

Alex assists in surgery and helps guide patients through pre- and post-operative care, ensuring they feel informed, supported, and confident throughout their treatment journey.

Alex has a diverse and extensive clinical background, having worked in multiple specialties such as Breast Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Liver and Intra-Abdominal Transplant care, Hospital Medicine, and Psychiatry. She previously served as Chief Physician Associate of Transplant Services, where she played a key leadership role managing advanced practice providers, supporting complex surgical procedures, and contributing to the education and training of both students and residents.

Throughout her career, Alex has been deeply involved in all aspects of patient care—from bedside procedures and surgical assistance to coordinating care across inpatient and outpatient settings. She has also contributed to healthcare quality initiatives, including policy development and clinical program support, always with a focus on improving patient safety and outcomes.

Alex earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Healthcare Management with Graduate Honors from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. She received her Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Touro University in New York City, where she served as Class Vice President and participated in the “Senior Buddy” mentorship program. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Mercy Univeristy in Dobbs Ferry, New York.

She is licensed to practice in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, and holds Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification as well as Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor certification. Alex is also a member of professional organizations and is committed to staying at the forefront of her field. She has been accepted into the American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBrS) Fall 2026 Cohort for Breast Certification and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Medical Science.

In addition to her clinical work, Alex is passionate about teaching and mentorship, serving as a preceptor for Physician Assistant students and supporting clinical education programs.
