Biography
Dr. Sean Fullerton is a dedicated clinician-educator and respected member of the Department of Urology whose practice focuses on adult general urology, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), obstructive uropathy, complex urinary stone disease, bladder dysfunction, prostatitis, and kidney obstruction. He is widely recognized for his commitment to patient-centered care and hands-on resident education.
He serves as Director of Ambulatory Care Urology at Westchester Medical Center, where he supervises the weekly resident clinic and plays a central role in training residents in urodynamics, office cystoscopy, prostate biopsy, and ambulatory urologic surgery. A hallmark of Dr. Fullerton's teaching philosophy is continuity of care. Under his guidance, residents develop their own patient panels and follow patients longitudinally-an experience that prepares them for independent practice and fosters strong physician-patient relationships. He is equally committed to medical student and resident education at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan, where he provides ongoing mentorship and supervision. His clinical excellence has been recognized with the Top Doctor Award from the Metropolitan Annual Medical Board Award Ceremony and serves on the Board of Advisers for Diversified Community Health Services, Inc.
