Biography
Dr. Stephen Pan attended medical school at the University of Pittsburgh, followed by further training in internal medicine, biomedical informatics, and cardiovascular disease at Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, California. He completed an additional fellowship in heart failure & transplant cardiology at Columbia University Medical Center in New York, NY. H He previously was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at NYU where he helped start programs in cardiac sarcoidosis and heart transplant before relocating to Westchester in 2019.
Dr. Pan is passionate about helping people with heart muscle diseases, especially those with infiltrative diseases of the heart, such as cardiac amyloidosis and sarcoidosis. He also has a specific interest in familial (genetic) diseases of the heart such as in familial and arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathies. He continues to conduct research and clinical trials in cardiovascular genetics, novel heart failure therapeutics, heart recovery after ventricular assist devices, and infiltrative diseases of the heart.
He is board certified in cardiovascular medicine and advanced heart failure & transplant cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) as well as a member of the Heart Failure Society of America (HFSA), and the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT).
