Dr. Tracey A. Milligan, MD, MS, FAAN, FAES, FANA is a neurologist and epilepsy specialist who serves as Professor and Chair of Neurology at New York Medical College and Director of Neurology for Westchester Medical Center Health Network. She specializes in the care of patients with epilepsy, seizures, and complex neurological conditions and is known for her patient-centered approach, clear communication, and commitment to education.


Dr. Milligan leads the academic, clinical, and research missions of a growing neuroscience program serving communities across the Hudson Valley. Under her leadership, the neurology residency program has expanded significantly, helping strengthen access to neurological care throughout the region. She also leads the department’s artificial intelligence initiative focused on responsible applications of AI in clinical care, education, and physician workflow.


She completed neurology residency training through the Harvard Neurology Residency Program at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, followed by fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She also completed additional training in physician leadership at Harvard Business School and medical education through Harvard Medical School.


Dr. Milligan has received numerous awards for excellence in teaching, leadership, and service. She is one of the few neurologists to receive both the American Neurological Association Distinguished Neurology Teacher Award and the American Academy of Neurology A.B. Baker Lifetime Achievement Award in Neurologic Education.


Dr. Milligan is committed to expanding access to advanced neurological care throughout the Hudson Valley and helping patients and families better understand complex neurological conditions through education and shared decision-making.
