Biography
Dr. Tali Lando is a fellowship-trained pediatric otolaryngologist specializing in complex airway disorders and advanced endoscopic airway surgery. She serves as an attending surgeon at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center, where she provides care for infants and children with a wide range of airway, breathing, congenital neck mass and swallowing disorders.
Dr. Lando completed her undergraduate training at Columbia University, graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in neuroscience. She earned her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her residency in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Cornell–Columbia program, followed by a two-year prestigious pediatric airway fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Her clinical expertise includes the management of pediatric obstructive sleep apnea, infant noisy breathing, dysphagia, voice disorders and complex airway pathology. She is an active member of multidisciplinary aerodigestive and airway teams and is particularly interested in optimizing outcomes in medically complex children.
Dr. Lando is board certified in otolaryngology and holds subspecialty certification in complex pediatric otolaryngology (CPO). She is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Lando is deeply committed to education and mentorship. She lectures nationally and internationally on pediatric airway disorders, sleep-disordered breathing, and dysphagia, and has served as a panelist at major academic meetings. Her scholarly work includes peer-reviewed publications on pediatric airway pathology, foreign body management, and laryngeal disorders, as well as contributions to foundational textbooks in pediatric otolaryngology.
Dr. Lando is also an author and speaker. Her recent book, Breathless: Surgical Tales from the Brink, reflects her commitment to sharing the realities of pediatric airway surgery and inspiring the next generation of medical students and trainees. Through writing, speaking engagements, and podcast appearances, she aims to bridge the gap between clinical medicine and the human experience of care.
Dr. Lando also holds leadership roles within the field, including serving as Secretary of the New York Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology and directing advanced airway surgical courses.
